Items/Melee Weapons

Melee Weapon Items include all mouth held weapons which would normally deal damage and be used to attack in a close range. These weapons have either previously appeared in a Fallout game or are homages to existing Fallout weapons. Unless otherwise noted, all weapons can be purchased from Nitro Express. You can attack with these weapons by using the E key, or clicking the box present on the right side center of the screen. Each weapon has a range of damage it can output but after each attack, a cooldown prevents the player from attacking again for a short period of time.

Contrary to popular belief, update v1.25.0 did not decrease the damage any weapon damage, but rather the way damage was calculated was changed. Each weapon received a effective range, which is indicative of the reach of the weapon (For example, a Knife spear has more range than a Knife). When an attack is made, the weapon's center point of damage is compared in distance to the center of the enemy NPC, the damage is then reduced with respect to how far away the two points are. As such this can result in damage values appearing in game being vastly different to the ones on paper.
