... — Mehanika

Mehanika is a a Trader NPC located in the Stable's Second level directly parallel to Muffin Time in the Stable workshop. Mehanika was first introduced in the v1.23.4 Update.

Description

Mehanika is a female Zebra with a faded white coat and dark gray blotches across her face and fore-legs. She has orange eyes, and her scruffy main and tail are made up of striped dark gray and a lighter dark gray. She wears a Stable jumpsuit with a dark grayish blue engineer's vest and a cap of similar color scheme. On her right fore-leg is her Pipbuck and on her left fore-hoof she sports a brown and gray glove. During the Nightmare Night seasonal event, she wears a checkered orange and black scarf with similar color for her hat. During the Winter season, she wears a checkered red and white scarf and a similar color scheme for her hat.

Wares

Currently Mehanika sells the second least amount of wears of all Traders (the lowest going to the Gifts Table by Ping-Pong during the Winter season). They offer three mechanical based items. Said items were previously sold by Nitro Express, a Legacy Item, and an item unaccepted by every vendor respectively.

Trivia

  • The word 'Mehanika' is for the word 'Mechanics' in multiple eastern European languages. This is in reference to the implied fact that Mehanika is the Stable's Mechanic.
  • Mehanika's second line makes reference to a 2012 song titled 'Trust me, I'm an engineer'. The song, sung by someone with a Russian accent, makes clear implication that the speaker is skilled but ultimately not competent in the field of construction and engineering.
    • This fact is applicable towards Mehanika, as some of her other lines, which beyond the heavy accent, paint them as a Mechanic who relies on Duct Tape or a Blow torch to solve their problems.
  • Bizarrely Mehanika's fourth line, specifically the final sentence, does not end in a punctuation mark, which contravenes all other NPC lines which end in a punctuation mark regardless of if it is the final sentence or simply one of a chain of sentences.
