Stop sign
The Stop sign is a Melee Weapon item which can be bought from Nitro Express. Though not confirmed, it is likely that the item was introduced in Update v1.6.0 alongside a number of other melee weapons.
Description
The Stop sign, as it's name suggests is a traffic sign which is commonly seen at intersections and points where it is prudent for a driver to halt their vehicle. This sign has been uprooted and is now being swung around as a weapon. The item is made up a light grey metallic pole with an octagonal sign fastened to one end. The metallic sign sports a red octagon with a white outline, in the center the word 'STOP' is printed. When you point the sign to the right, either by using the Turn head Action or fully rotating your character to that direction, the sign will flip horizontally displaying the text backwards.
Trivia
- This item is one of the few which possess a Hearth's Warming variant.
- Though less noticeable, the Stop sign is one of the 8 items which have a separate compressed icon used when in a players inventory and dropped out into the world, this is due to the length or size of the weapon. The other items are the the aforementioned festive Stop sign, Nuka sign, the Scythe, the Spear, the Knife spear and its festive variant.
- Unlike the other signs, the Stop sign is not a reference to any weapons in the Fallout franchise. Curiously this weapon predates both the Sparkle sign and the Nuka sign, so it's inclusion is not due to any attempts to complete a set.
