NPCs/Trader

A Player interacting with the Vendor Copper Caps.

Trader NPCs are specific Non-Player Characters located across the Ashes Town Maps that when interacted with, will produce a unique UI allowing the Player the ability to buy and sell items using the in-game currency. NPC Vendors can be identified by the "<NPC>" tag that permanently appears above their head.

There exists two definable categories of Vendor, Rolling stock Traders and Static stock Traders.

Rolling stock Trader

Rolling Stock Traders refers to Vendors whose stock will randomly change with each day, offering a random set of items at a random price, this mechanic and the NPCs which use it were introduced in v1.19.0. Rolling Stock Vendors each have some pattern in what they sell. This includes either a definable categorization of items sold, or perpetually selling two specific items.

Static stock Trader

Static Stock traders will posses the exact same stock no matter what time or day it is. This will allow players to sell items they collect from killing Enemy NPCs or find around the map. In Ping-Pong's case, it is to sell the player all of the purchasable Toys.
