Copper Caps is a NPC Trader who sells a wide variety of general items from Bandages to Potions or Chemlights to Cigarettes. During seasonal updates (such as Nightmare Night and Hearth's Warming), he will also sell seasonal items for the duration of the seasonal event. Copper Caps can be found in his Trader Camp in the Wasteland. He was likely added in update v1.15.0.
Description
Copper Caps is an Earth Pony Stallion with a brown coat, caramel colored mane and red eyes. He wears a dark brown hat, dark brown shirt with yellow undershirt, brown pants and brown and black boots. During the Winter season, he swaps out his hat for a brown and tan aviator ski cap, and wears a set of green and red mittens. During the Nightmare Night event, he wears a Grim Reaper outfit and have a scythe standing behind him.
Wares
Copper Caps vendor UI offers a maximum of 7 items. He is also one of the two NPC vendors who have the rolling stock mechanic, meaning that each day of the wears he sells will change, offering new items with new prices. The exception to this rule are Mint-als and the Lantern, which will always be available in the bottom two slots of his vendor list at a static price.
He also sells the seasonal exclusive items appearing in additional slots below the Lantern, even if confusingly it should be handled by a different vendor.
Quotes
Copper Caps will occasionally say a sentence, wait a moment before randomly selecting a line and saying it. This line can even be one he had just recently said.

Trivia
- Unlike other Vendors which exist as an in-game pony model, Copper Caps has a unique sprite when behind his stall, with an eye animation overlayed on top of that sprite.
- This was confirmed and described by an Ashes Town developer, who stated that Copper Caps is a Hybrid entity, acting much like Inhabitant NPCs, such as Barker or Dodo/Chirp. All the while possessing relevant data which allows Copper Caps to display a Profile box and vendor UI.
- This can be confirmed by any player, as when enabling the Statistics setting and viewing the ponies counter while beside him and fully zoomed in, it will only count your Pony.
- In v1.22.0, a small oversight occurred, as when clicking on him, his profile box displayed his summer uniform, while in game he was still in his winter uniform.

- In the promotional .gif for the update 1.22.0, certain versions of Copper Caps have a default Pipbuck on their left forearm, despite the fact that that he normally doesn't have one.
- The first line spoken in red during the winter season references the other trader NPC Ping-Pong and the sale she holds during the major holidays. This is the third time an NPC references another NPC.
