There's no such thing as "too many guns." — Nitro Express

Nitro Express is a Trader NPC located in the Wasteland, at her Gunshop located to the north of the Saloon. She is responsible for selling the player all the available Melee Weapons and Ranged Weapons. She was introduced in update v1.19.0 alongside a Food vendor and a Toy vendor. She has a personal griffon guard named Sihayhamo.

Description

Nitro Caps is a Unicorn Mare with a light brown coat, brown and dark tan colored mane and lime green colored eyes. She wears a dark green jacket with a nougat colored undershirt, dark green pants and Dark green boots. During the winter months she swaps out her clothes to a green shirt with a tan fur collar and tan shirt cuffs.

Wares

Nitro Express offers a wide variety of ranged, melee, and throwable weapons. Like Copper Caps, Nitro Express has a rolling stock mechanic on her vendor list, meaning that while she may only sell a limit of 8 items at a time, this list of items rotates daily. Furthermore, the items sold will be grouped up into categories. The first two slots are dedicated to melee weapons, the center four are for all the available guns, and the bottom two slots on her vendor list are reserved for the three throwable weapons. When rotating her stock, each of these three categories will randomly select items from their respective item pools.

Quotes

Nitro Express possesses a number of speaking lines. She has a range of single lines and patterns of sequential lines which she will speak, afterwards she will pause for a period of time before randomly selecting another set of lines. Not all lines are given equal favoring, and some lines or line patterns will be said more often than others.

Trivia

  • Nitro's quote "An armed society is a polite society." is very similar to a line said by Fallout New Vegas' Vendor Mick, with Mick's respective line being: "A polite society is an armed society!"
  • Nitro's line "We can't expect Lightbringer to do all the work." is a reference to a similar line said by Joshua Graham, it being "But we can't expect God to do all the work."
    • Similar to a line said by Sihayhamo, a lexical issue arises because of the changing of the subject as a noun. "God" is a proper noun where as "Lightbringer" is a simple title.
