Enemy NPCs/Raiders

The Raider Enemy NPCs are a category of NPC Enemies that were introduced in update v1.25.1 and will spawn in and around the Raider Camp in the Wasteland, located just above the southern most Sewer entrance titled 'Waste Dump'. Similar to the enemies found in the 2022 Nightmare Night event, due to different names, but ultimately sharing HP values, the Raiders can be categorized into the following tiers. Though unlike the 2022 Nightmare Night enemies, and much more like the previously existing ghouls, they are permanent additions to the wasteland and will likely not be removed in future updates.

Raiders refer to a generalized category of Wasteland ponies who due to one reason or another have become violent and aggressive to all but their own ranks. They often group together in small gangs and inhabit areas in the Equestrian wasteland, preying on weaker and less prepared Wastelanders, attacking them with the goal of robbing them or ultimately capturing them to sell into slavery or for other vile reasons. The Group of raiders found in Ashes Town do not seem to demonstrate any characteristics beyond the desire to kill the Player.

The Tier 1 NPCs are a series of three NPCs which share the same max HP and pool of items capable of dropping upon death. They move by default as fast as the player's walking speed though will proceed to trot after the player should a significant distance be achieved.

Description

Hautkaiva is a Griffin with a dirty white coat which ends in dark brown on their hind legs, wings, and tips of their mane. Their only protection is a series of eight armor pieces across their four legs, covering their shoulders and lower portions of their limbs. Despite being a griffin, and unlike Keipina, possessing both of their wings. Hakuvita can not fly under any circumstances, even if doing so would allow them to reach the player quicker.

Skullface is a grey Earth Pony with a black mane and tail. They wear a similarly black uniform with a skirt and spiked collar. Long black books cover three of their four legs, with the front left one possessing a small black boot and a shoulder pauldron. Part of their face is colored white, likely by makeup, and they have lavender colored eyes, one of which has a faded pupil and reddened sclera. On the same side of their face is a partly torn off ear which is covered in dried blood.

Steel Tip is a faded green Earth Pony with a brown colored mane and tail. They wear a dark green shirt and pants with adjoining dark green boots on their hind legs. They sport a set of dirty yellow goggles around their neck. Around their left fore-leg they sport a dirty green bandage which covers the central part of that leg. They have a set of brown eyes, and similar to Skullface, one of the eyes has a reddened sclera. Though unlike Skullface, there is no adjoining damaged ear.

Drops

On death they will drop one of the following items which can be sold back to either Muffin Time or Whiskey Shot:

The Tier 2 NPCs are a series of another three NPCs which share the same max HP and pool of items capable of dropping upon death. They move by default as fast as the player's trot speed though will rarely slow down to a walk for an unknown reason.

Description

Fire Quartz is a maroon Earth Pony covered in darkened blemishes. They possess a light red verging on pink mane and tail. They wear a selection of brown and dirty maroon ripped shirt, pants, and boots. Around their neck they wear a pink necklace with a yellow gemstone, and a Gun in a holster on their hip.

Razorwing is a lavender purple Bat Pony with light grey messy mane and tail. They wear dark purple clothing with greenish-brown armor and military gear. Similar to Hautkavia, despite possessing both of their wings, Razorwing will not fly under any circumstances, even when it would help them reach a retreating player.

Slashy Tracy is a light blue earth pony with a white and faded lavender colored mane and tail. They possess predominantly black or dark blue themed clothing, including a bullet-proof vest, skirt, spiked back plating, and spiked collar. Their hind left leg is covered in bloody bandages, and several other legs as well as their face is covered in reddened scars. Their bloodshot eyes feature green pupils.

Mini-Boss

Chompy Wompy

The enemy known as Chompy Wompy can be considered Mini-Boss of this group of raiders enemies. Despite not possessing the most amount of HP, they wield a unique weapon (being the Bite attack, similar to the Ghouls), and drop a series of items which isn't shared with any other NPC. Chompy Wompy will also Trot and Run at all opportunities, similar to the Feral Ghoul, increasing their chance of catching up and tailing the player.

Description

Chompy Wompy is a Green Earth Pony with brown and read mane and tail. They wear a simple blue robe and skirt piece, with dirty bandages covering their forelegs and dark grey ones covering their hind legs. Parts of their neck and around their mouth is colored red and brown. Due to the way they attack and their connection with food, it is highly likely this is to resemble dried blood.

Drops

Not all drops are weighted equally, as Chompy Wompy is less likely to drop the Pan item, than the other items. Regardless, once killed they have a chance of dropping one of these three items:

Trivia

• Skullface's appearance mirrors closely that of the Goth Subculture, most noticeably in the clothes they wear and the use of only the color black.
  • Slashy Tracy similarly wears black colored clothing, suggesting a potential relation, though this is pure conjecture.
• The facial expression which Chompy Wompy demonstrates here and in their profile box can be noted to be different to how it is rendered in game. This is due to a feature added in update v1.21.0, which preserved the mouth's expression when holding an item or using an action. Such a feature brought an unintentional oversight where certain mouth expressions would be replaced with the neutral expression when holding a weapon (As by technicality, the Bite attack is just an invisible weapon). The smile used by Chompy Wompy is one of those expressions, as is the frown used by Ghoul 2 and 4.
