Update history (April Fools)
April Fools Game Version refers to the states of the Ashes Town game released on or around April 1st. These updates often include humorous or strange content which temporarily affect the game. Said content is never permanent, and is removed after the event is concluded.

All NPCs have moved locations around the maps. Save for Whiskey Shot and Muffin Time, the vendor stock remains at their normal locations. Most NPCs say new lines alongside their normal lines The NPCs have moved to the following places:
- - Copper Caps takes the places of Ping-Pong.
- - The Overmare takes the place of Mehanika, and has become a cyborg.
- - Ping-Pong takes the place of the Overmare, and has fallen asleep at the desk.
- - Muffin Time and Whiskey Shot swap places.
- - Nitro Express takes the place of Copper Caps, with Sihayhamo joining them.
- - Mehanika takes Nitro Express' place.
- - Barker moves into the Stable alongside Kepler, and has received a set of Treds instead of legs.
The Wasteland and the Saloon were deeply affected from this update, implementing a procedural generation beyond the normal borders of the map. It is unknown how far the generated land continues beyond the main map.
In the Saloon's case, cubical-like areas tessellate outwards in all directions. Each cubicle featured diner booths, tables with stools, jukeboxes, and the drinks cabinet full of fruit.
In the Wasteland's case, the snow covered earth continues outwards in all directions. Trees, campfires, Wooden Boxes and other economic clutter liter the wasteland. All cliff edges, water bodies come to an immediate stop at the end of the normal map, save for the water surrounding the docks, in which the water extended diagonally in both the North-West and the South-West directions.
The Party island was also affected, with it's waters extending outwards in all directions.
A new Enemy NPC replaces the Feral Ghoul in the Radiation Dumping Zone, a Zebra Ghoul named 'Hoi'. Aside from an increased health (from 150 to 250) the Enemy appears to but a Sprite swap from the Feral Ghoul.

Many textures around the maps were changed to give the illusion that there was a game braking error going on. This included objects and NPCs being resprited to be just the word "Error" in a bold red, and elements being retextured with a checkered purple and black pattern. Many error themed changes were added including missing textures, wrong textures being applied or new interactions involving locations and NPCs.
The most notable change is to that to the Stable, where a series of changes have been made:
- - The cave around the Stable's entrance has been filled in with a number of landmines.
- - The entrance of the Stable has been filled with Radroaches dressed up in Security uniforms and approaching them will teleport the player to the Stable's jail cells.
- - The Stable's second level has been completely overrun by Ping-Pong and Radroaches, the Roaches have begun to take over the professions of a Stable, even organizing into a paramilitary force in the Stable's Security wing. Several changes to the Stable's NPCs:
- - The Overmare had been jailed and renamed 'hostagemare'.
- - Muffin Time was held and knife point by a Radroach, terrified while standing on a bench.
- - Mehanika has barricaded themselves inside their the Utility zone of the Stable, using a shotgun to take out approaching Radroaches.
- - Radroach named 'King' taking the Overmare's place behind her desk.
- - Strangely, the third level has been left completely untouched, except for the pool being retextured with the missing texture.
